A PTC referral is someone that contributes to the overall account balance of an existing member by either joining the PTC site through the existing member's referral link or by being rented or bought.
This is really the way that a true profit is seen when using PTC sites

Some persons join PTC site without a referral link and are therefore available for rent by other members for fees specific to each PTC site. Some sites allow members to keep these unreferred member permanently by allowing the members to buy them. Again these fees are specific to the PTC site.
How to obtain direct referrals
- Word of Mouth - This is the easiest method of gain direct referrals. Simply tell your friends and family and have them join through your referral link.
- Create a blog or website to advertise your referral link.
- Join Traffic Exchange Sites - As called Hit Exchanges, these are sites that allow you to generate traffic to your website or referral link by viewing other people's site. Its as easy as that. If this is too time consuming for you, you may choose to simply buy credits towards generating your traffic. I have a list of some of these sites below. Click on the link to check them out.
- Use the forums on the PTC websites - This can be used as a medium to befriend other members and convince them to join as your referral on other sites that you are a member of.
- Referral Exchange - This is simply agreeing be a referral on someone's site while that person joins as a referral on your site.
- Advertise on PTC sites of your choice.
- Use Social Media - Create a Faceook and Twitter account to get referrals.
